Beyond the circuit of the publisher-bookseller-buyer spreads and proliferates a second life of books. Are the books "used" or "old", or the "tails" edition " too many games already sold, and who have a life apart. We talk about the book published thirty, ten, or even five years, that the owner (or his heirs) decided to get rid of.
These books are going to bookstores and flea markets old book, fairs of the book "old and used", or are accessible through websites specialized in this matter. The importance of this parallel circuit is self-evident: not only is there an ecological basis to support the movement works perfectly legible, but also the sheer volume of our editorial production, the voracity of the releases and the limited space of the libraries are frequently very difficult to have access to works published relatively recently.
It is precisely this conception of recycling, which is linked to the reuse of the used book explains which have proliferated points in both formal and informal, of the so-called bookcrossing: places of all kinds where you can leave and/or take copies used.
The analysis of the parallel circuit of the used book can shed a light unthinkable on some shortcomings of the system bookseller or publisher, and, ultimately, make us better know this to be unexpected that it is the buyer/escogedor/reader of books. In parallel, we will explore an important point: how can the Internet to collaborate with the sale of used books, and even with the practices of bookcrossing? To participate in this exploration, this day will bring together a range of professionals that will bring very different perspectives.
