Real Sociedad Española de Alpinismo Peñalara, Asociación de Antiguos Alumnos de «Estudio» y Corporación de antiguos alumnos y amigos de la ILE.
In 1926 Eduardo Schmid, member of the Real Sociedad Española de Alpinismo Peñalara, joined the work started by Giner de los Ríos to promote hiking in the Sierra del Guadarrama. Almost following a contour curve, Schmid marked a route painting some yellow discs on logs and arrows on the rocks, which marked the journey which went from Puerto de Navacerrada al Albergue de la Fuenfría. One hundred years later, these points continue being the reference of the journey. The XXI cycle of conferences Bernadlo de Quirós celebrates 100 years of the Schmid journey.
