One hundred years on from the publication of a crucial work in the reception and interpretation of the historical avant-garde movements in Spain, this round table, which includes five leading scholars, proposes a reflection on the role played that process by two of the most prominent figures of Spanish culture in the Silver Age. From a multidisciplinary perspective, we will address issues such as the dialectics of irony in the works of both authors, the relationship between Ortega the editor and Ramon the novelist, the concepts of "delinquency" and "infrarrealidad" as forms of the new novel and the approach to a mass modernism of the Ramon´s work published around 1925.
