Libraries are a mine of works of all kinds, of local importance or general: artistic, literary, cartography, news... we don't disclose any secrets by saying that the large amount of digitized works in the last few years is not accompanied by a knowledge and general use of such an extensive collection.
In recent years, the role that the library plays in so-called content curation has been highlighted: the selection and making available to the public works related to a specific theme or interest, works that can be found in digital distributors, and dispersed through websites or repositories of other libraries or institutions.
This mediated activity has a new meaning and most important in this era with a lack of access to physical materials and an abundance of digital caused by Covid-19, which has caused the confinement of the population for long periods of time, has reduced inter and outer city movement and has forced the closure of establishments such as libraries. This online meeting wants to evaluate, from the heat of recent events, the possibilities arising from the digital accumulation of the past.

This project has received the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sport
